The first album from the Seattle band. Grunge was already taking root in the American city, poised to spread throughout the United States and then the world. The pop-oriented "About A Girl" stands out. Interestingly, it was the only album not recorded with Dave Grohl on drums; the band's original drummer, Chad Channing, was still behind the kit during the recording sessions.

Originally released in 1989, it is available in this 2009 vinyl reissue.
