"Arena en los Bolsillos" was Manolo García's first solo album, after the breakup of "El Último de la Fila". Recorded at The Town House Studios in London, it was very well received, selling around 900,000 copies. Notable songs include "A San Fernando Un Ratito a Pie y Otro Caminando", "Pájaros de Barro" and the album's title track "Arena en los Bolsillos".

Released in 1998, it was reissued as a double vinyl in 2015.
