Recorded in his native Uruguay, Jorge Drexler moves us again with this new project, "Taracá," a word that, according to the singer-songwriter, "...could be the sound made by El tambor chico that the song talks about," referring to the third track on this recording. "Taracá" is intimately related to candombe, perhaps the most important rhythm in Uruguayan folklore, which is why one of the collaborators on this album is Rueda de Candombe, a participatory project that fuses this Uruguayan rhythm.
