They say that some bands improve with age, like fine wine, but I'm not sure if that's the case with Deftones, as all their albums show something different and improved. The Sacramento natives offer a new album in these 11 tracks that lives up to the band's standing. We cannot ignore that, of their generation, they are the only group that brings something new, that doesn't use the same hackneyed sound, and that racks their brains to offer something different.
Opening with "My Mind Is a Mountain" and continuing with "Infinitive Source," "Milk Of The Madonna," or "I Think About You All The Time," we can see that Deftones' energy is still that of a groundbreaking group, or at least this album could be if we lived in a different era for metal.
