After the end of Kyuss, Josh Homme and Nick Oliveri, guitarist and bassist respectively, would begin a new musical chapter with Queens Of The Stone Age, taking the stoner sound to more open and less heavy fields. This is the self-titled debut album by what is now one of the influential and great rock and roll bands. Clearly, over the years, QOTSA's path has moved away from stoner, but in these early works, we can still detect those rhythms as in "Avon" or "Mexicola," although songs like "If Only" hinted at what their musical sound might be in the near future.

Originally released in 1998, this work was re-released in 2011, although this 2024 reissue is available on double vinyl in Gatefold format, including 3 additional tracks.
