They say some bands improve with age, like fine wine, but I don't know if that's the case with Deftones, as all their albums offer something different and improved. The Sacramento natives deliver a new album with these 11 tracks that lives up to the band's standing. We cannot ignore that, among their generation, they are the only group that brings something new, that doesn't use the same tired sound, and that racks their brains to offer something different.
Opening with "My Mind Is a Mountain" and continuing with "Infinitive Source," "Milk Of The Madonna," or "I Think About You All The Time," we can discern that Deftones' energy is still that of a groundbreaking group, or at least this album could be if we lived in different times for metal.
